First up: Coronado Cafe!

Hello and welcome! This is my very first blog post and I can’t wait for you to see what I have found.  I moved to The Valley about two years ago and go out to eat quite often. After a while, every restaurant begins to look the same, sound the same, feel the same, taste the same, ect. I found it difficult to find somewhere to eat that made me excited to go out again. All the problems were solved when I stumbled into Coronado Cafe in downtown Phoenix.

Located at the intersection of 7th St. and Monte Vista Rd., the cafe has several unique features that are noticeable from the moment you pull into the parking lot.  The building that the cafe is in was built in 1915 and actually was a home for quite some time. It is still decorated with furnishings and decor that resemble the early 20th century.  The inside still looks and feels like a home, except for the many tables scattered in every room.

The restaurant offers a lunch and dinner menu, as well as a featured brunch on Saturdays. The food was superb, the service-impressing, and the atmosphere-perfect.  It was everything I had been looking for in a new dining experience.  It was unlike anything I had seen before and is definitely somewhere I’ll be eating often. If you’re looking for somewhere new, yet memorable to eat, then this is definitely the answer!

The Coronado Cafe is open Monday-Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for lunch. Dinner hours are from 5:00 p.m.- 9:00 p.m. Tuesday-Thursday and 5:00 p.m.-10p.m. on Friday and Saturday. Visit their website for menus and directions HERE
